Gobble! Gobble!  Happy Thanksgiving to all my students and their families!

Extra Credit Assignment:
Go in the kitchen during cooking or clean up.  What measurement units were used for which foods?
       Ex:  My mother put 1 cup of chopped onions in the stuffing. I put 1 tablespoon of brown sugar on top of the sweet potatoes.

Record 4 or more measurements for 5 extra credit points.   

Write it on a separate piece of paper - but no gravy-stained Thanksgiving napkins, please!

Homework for tonight:
Vocabulary (Frayer) diagram - For each of the vocabulary words (Toxic, Corrosive, Flammable, Mixture), write the:

• word
• definition
• sentence using the word
• draw a picture illustrating the vocabulary word.   

For periods 1, 2, and 6, you are to Check your home for Household Hazardous Materials and fill out the Household Hazardous Materials Table handed out in class. Answer the Analysis Questions 1-3 on the worksheet: "What is Hazardous at Home?".

Homework for 11/20/13:  Write 5 STAR note Questions in your Science Notebook.
