6th Grade - Answer the following questions on SPP:  You added sodium carbonate solution to the copper chloride solution. Both of these solutions are liquids:  
a) What is a precipitate?
b) Where do you think the solid came from when you added the two solutions together?
c) How were the properties of the products (stuff that formed after mixing solutions) different from the properties of the reactants (solutions before they were mixed)?
d) Did precipitation work for removing the contaminant (copper chloride) from water? Explain, using evidence from the activity.
