6th Grade homework tonight - Label your world maps with names of:
  • the seven continents (Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, South America)
  • the 5 oceans (Arctic, Atlantic, Indian, Pacific, Southern), as well as the
  • Gulf of Mexico and the
  • Caribbean Sea.
Start preparing for your vocab quiz on Friday. You'll be quizzed on the following words and their correct definitions:
  1. Weather
  2. Atmosphere
  3. Climate
  4. Risk
  5. Metric (S.I.) Units: cm, degrees C, m, km/hr.
  6. Customary Units: inch, degrees F, foot, yard, mi/hr.
  7. Meterologist

  13. Median
  14. Mode
  15. Hypothesis 
8th Grade homework tonight - Answer the questions on p. D-21 to 22, questions 1-4, on a separate piece of paper (SPP).  To see pp. D-21 to D-22, click on the link to the right titled: " SEPUP e-book (Lab-Aids) " then type in the user name and password off of the "Resources for Students" half-sheet that I gave you earlier and told you to keep it.  Then under Issues and Physical Science, click on "Energy" unit.  Next, click on Activity 56: Shake the Shot. Scroll down til you find the questions that you need. 

*****UPDATE**** I've heard from a student that the link no longer works. When I've checked it, it works sometimes, sometimes not. If that doesn't work try clicking on the link embedded in the last paragraph, Activity 56: Shake the Shot.If that doesn't work, try following these instructions:      
I called the company. They not only changed the website they also changed the user name (same password). Here's the new information:

1. go to this webpage: http://www.lab-aids.com/
2. In the upper right corner, click on the Student log in.
3. Type in user name: rms21 and password mgoldsmith.
4. Click on the text: Issues & Physical Science 1st Edition Student Book
5. Click on the text: 5. Unit D Energy - IAPS 1st Edition (3-100
6. Move your cursor to the middle of the right side until the gray arrow pops up. Click on it, one click at a time, until you get to page 21. The pages load very slowly, unfortunately. You have to be patient.

  Students who have not yet turned in their Lab Report: you will have a working lunch with me starting tomorrow and every day until the Lab Report is turned in; so turn it in - the sooner the better.
