8th Grade --  Review your Study Guide! Test on Thursday. Bring your Unit Study Guide to class so we can go over it tomorrow! 
Extra credit opportunity for turn in on Wednesday only: Research LED bulbs. Go on Amazon or google and see if you can find an LED bulb that replaces, or is equivalent to a 25-Watt incandescent bulb.  Record on an SPP the brand name & web site selling it. So we can fill out a data table like the one on p. D-77, also try to find and record one or more of the following characteristics: Efficiency, Rate of Energy use, average lifetime, cost of one bulb, cost of electricity over lifetime of bulb, and total cost per hour.

6th Grade - - Period 3- Write a Reflection (Left side page, good mechanics) about what you learned in class today about the Water Cycle.

Period 2 -  Answer Analysis Questions on p. E-65 on SPP: 
1. On Student Sheet 62.1, you drew the water cycle. IN your Science Notebook, re-draw your water cycle diagram and:
a. Use the following words to identify where water can be found in the picture:
  • atmosphere
  • groundwater
  • land
  • ocean
  • organisms
  • precipitation
 b. Draw at least six arrows showing the movement of water from one place to another.
 c. Label places where each of the following is occurring:
  • condensation
  • evaporation
  • freezing
  • melting
 d. What changes did you have to make from your student sheet?
2. The term “water cycle” is used to describe the movement of water on the earth. Do you think that your diagram on Student Sheet 62.1 is a good summary of the water cycle? Why or why not?
3. In this activity, you used cards and number cubes to model the water cycle. Do you think that this activity was a good model of the water cycle? Why or why not?
We'll work on this in class tomorrow:
4. Expand your notes from Student Sheet 62.2 into a story that describes the journey of your water molecules. Your story should follow your water through at least five places. Be as creative and
scientifically accurate as you can! Be sure to: 
• Describe or draw how your water molecules moved from one
 place to another.
 • Identify any changes in state (solid, liquid, gas) that occur.
