In 6th grade, students are exploring concepts of volume, mass and density. They are learning that density is a physical property of a substance, and this can be used to identify an unknown substance. Meanwhile, 7th Graders are learning to use microscopes. Students are comparing and contrasting the structures of cells of Animals, Plants, and Protists such as Amoebas. We will also be learning about Food Preservation Methods, such as use of chemical preservatives, dehydration, and refrigeration.
