1. Write clearly: Short and simple.
2. Each step must be numbered.
3. Only one step per number.
4. Procedures must be reproducible (anyone, even me, should be able to repeat your tests with nothing but what you wrote).
5. Use science terms (HINT: Use the names of the equipment) and vocabulary (ex: mixture, observe.
6. Be specific. Say how you will move each substance. Which equipment will you use to separate out which part(s) of the mixture and where will you put the part(s)?
