What we learned so far:
1. Hazardous Materials
-Symbols, handling (or not) types:
a. Toxic (be able to define)
b. Flammable (be able to define)
c. Corrosive (be able to define)
2. States of Matter: Liquid, Solid, Gas - (be able to define these)
3. Data can be:
Quantitative (with numbers), or
Qualitative (withOUT numbers)
4. Mixtures:
-physically combined (same place & time)
- can be physically separated, using:
* Tools (strainer, forceps, dropper, etc.), and
* Physical Properties (ex: State of Matter, texture, hardness, appearance, density, etc.).
5. D= m where mass is the amount of matter in an object, and
v volume is the amount of space an object takes up
