Periods 3, 4, 6 and 7:
Copy these vocab terms and definitions into the vocab section of your science notebook:
Hypothesis - A testable prediction; a possible explanation for observations,facts, or events, that may be tested, verified, or answered by further investigation.
Scientific Methods - Processes scientists use to test ideas or scientific hypotheses, including: develop questions; observe evidence; collect, record and analyze data; and draw conclusions. Scientists may use only some steps, or put them in different order, depending on resources and methods available.
Period 3 - also fill out the hypothesis on your lab sheet.
All classes:
1. Make sure that your notebook is up to date with all work done in class, including:
a) Table of Contents;
b) Notes section should include notes you wrote on Sept. 5 and 6;
c) then, 2-column note page that I gave you, with the homework that was due on Tuesday; and
d) Vocab section that we set up at the back; and
e) dividers with tabs labeled for Notes, Work, and Vocab (we'll need at least one more divider later).
