Homework: Vocab Words + Definitions (Write these on the correct page in your vocab section). Even if the words below look gray on your device, all of the vocab terms below are in black text, so be sure that you copy them all !  
Vocab Quiz coming up on Wednesday!!! Here are the vocab words that you'll be quizzed on: 

Control - the part of an experiment that doesn't change. Ex: in touch test, we did not change the part of the body or the device being used. 

Independent Variable - the factor that you, or the scientist, changes from one part of an experiment to another. 

Interneuron - connect the sensory and motor neurons; found in brain or spinal cord.

Neuron - a nerve cell that transmits messages. 

Reproducible - able to be recreated and repeated.  

Sample size - the amount of data gathered for an experiment. ex :in touch test, you each did 30 trials.

Sensitivity - how much an organism or part will respond to stimulation.  

Sensory neuron - nerves that gather information from the world around us through senses (e.g., sight, hearing, touch, etc.).

Tissue A group of similar cells and cellular material that perform a particular function.

Touch receptors - nerve endings that detect pressure on your skin and send a message to your brain.
