Homework - All classes but period 4:
  • Answer Analysis Questions 1 through 4, including subparts a., b., and c.
  • If you did not finish gettting the vocab, copy this: 
  • Vocabulary: write words in notes section, words + definitions in vocab section
    contour interval  - The change in elevation between two adjacent contour lines on a map.
    contour line  - lines are drawn to connect all the areas that are the   same height above sea level.
    Elevation – height of a location above average sea level.
    Key  Part of a map that defines meaning of symbols used on the map.
    Scale- Part of the map that shows the ratio of a distance measured on the map to the actual distance.
    topographical map  - A map that uses contour lines to show the shape of the land surface.
    topographic feature  - A feature of the earth’s surface such as a lake, stream, valley, canyon, hill, ridge, or mountain.
    topography  - The shape of the land, or collection of landforms, in an area.
