Mon. night - Finish the notes below if you did not copy them in class today.  Most important: prepare for Wednesday's test: read your study guide one or more times; review your science notebook to find any areas where you're confused.  Be sure to check that your science notebook is up to date (all Notes should have dates; Table of Contents should be complete; and all vocab terms should be defined in the Vocab section).

  Air mass – A huge body of air that has similar temperature (warm or cold), pressure (H igh or L ow), and humidity throughout.  A High Pressure air mass usually brings fair (clear skies, not cloudy) weather. Pressure going lower indicates an approaching storm, with lowest pressures found in hurricanes and other huge storms.

       Front – leading edge of an air mass.

     weather forecast – Meteorologist’s prediction of the weather.
