Also, get your existing or old science notebooks ready for grading next week:
1) Front cover - must have your full name and "Science" written clearly on the front cover.
2) Resources for Students ½ sheet - must be attached to inside front cover. If you lost yours, get one from the folder in the classroom near the A/C.
3) Update table of contents - have one entry for each lesson.
4) Check your notes. Every note should have a complete date, topic and objective. If you're missing a date or topic, ask your study buddy.
5) Vocab section - make sure these are up to date. If you're missing part,
ask your study buddy.
6) Extra Credit - 10 to 20% EC available for writing summaries about a lesson that explain what you learned, what you got out of a lesson. Maximum 5 lessons. Make sure you're not just copying objectives.
If your notebook is almost out of paper, try to get a new science notebook before next week begins to start our new unit. New notebooks should be set up with:
- a Table of Contents in the front,
- Vocab section at the back with letters (ex: A-B, C, D-E, etc.) written in the corner.
- Paper (front page only) in the Notes section should be set up with a column line to make a
- Fat column for notes and
- skinny column for questions.
